This year we have a premiere in our endless summer swimwear collection: a print made exclusively for Coco Malou on our bikinis in flower! The delicate watercolor flowers were hand-painted on paper by Philine Rübel and then digitized to print on our recycled fabric in Portugal.
We would like to introduce you to the creator of our flower print swimwear. After several years as an employed designer, Philine Rübel has now become self-employed. She founded her company Philine Rübel Design in 2021.
"I've always been fascinated by the effect that products and their design have on people," says Philine about her work. According to her, we create our own world through inspiration, influences and impulses from outside. Philine's designs should encourage and inspire us as customers to create our own world, as they reflect part of our identity.
Philine came up with something very special for our design of this year's swimwear collection. The motif was primarily influenced by two aspects: On the one hand, it was our common goal that you, the customer, can combine the styles with various other colors according to your own taste, in order to create your own individual summer look. On the other hand, the motif should make people want summer, sun and swimming. All flowers are hand-painted by her personally and give the print a unique design.
